Dr. Brooke Goonetilleke

Dr. Brooke Goonetilleke received her Bachelor of Science in Biology with Cum Laude Honors and Minor in Global Public Health from Quinnipiac University. She then went on to obtain her Doctorate at the State University of New York College of Optometry along with a certificate in Optometric Business Management at Empire State College.

Dr. Goonetilleke is passionate about providing exceptional primary eye care, dry eye treatment and management, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases. She completed part of her optometric training at the Lyons VA Medical Center where she managed hypertensive and diabetic retinopathy, wet & dry macular degeneration, cataracts and glaucomas. At the Keller Army Community Hospital in West Point and University Eye Center in NYC she continued to practice full scope eye care, which includes routine exams with contacts, medical eye exams, ocular emergencies and pediatric eye exams. During her externship at the Cornea & Laser Eye Institute she gained extensive knowledge in anterior segment disease and speciality contact lenses including scleral and orthokeratology lenses.

As she practices optometry she continues to apply herself in order to become an expert in myopia management, dry eye therapy and speciality contact lenses.
